Soroptimist International Connecticut Shoreline

We're chartering a new Soroptimist club on the shoreline area of CT!

Our mission is to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment in local communities and throughout the world. We are a global volunteer organization. As an international volunteer service organization, we invite you to consider becoming a Soroptimist (which means "best for women") and join thousands of business and community-minded women worldwide who are contributing their time, talent and treasure to make a material difference in the lives of other women.

Awards:

Live Your Dream Award
The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families, the opportunity to achieve their career goals by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. In addition to providing the primary financial support for their families, eligible applicants must be enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program and must demonstrate financial need.

Our Shoreline club is awarding a first place winner a cash award of $1,000! Applications are now being received until November 15, 2017. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered. To receive an application by mail, please email us. To download an application, please click here. You will also need to download the reference form that needs to be completed. Both forms are in PDF format.

Women Helping Woman Award
The Soroptimist Women Helping Women Award honors women who, through their professional or personal efforts, are making extraordinary differences in the lives of women or girls. Their work has had a significant impact, and also inspires and encourages other women.
