Welcome!
We are a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.

The Northeastern Region is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas Federation, one of four federations of Soroptimist International.

Our region represents approximately 250 business and professional women who are members of ten clubs in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island and we continue to grow. The Northeastern Region also covers the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website and hope that you will consider becoming a member of this exciting organization.

The Soroptimists Celebrating Success Awards recognizes clubs for outstanding practices that support the four pillars of SIA's strategic plan: fundraising, membership, program and public awareness.

Congratulations to Soroptimist International of Farmington Valley on being named a SIA winner in the fundraising category at the Soroptimist convention held in July, 2014 in beautiful Vancouver, Canada! Accepting the award on behalf of the Farmington Club was Northeastern Region Governor, Tracy Scala, a member of the Farmington club herself.

Their fundraising event, "A Toast to Women! An Evening of Wine and Chocolate Delights", was a huge success and took place on March 8th, International Women's Day.

Congratulations also to Soroptimist International of Willimantic for being named a northeastern region finalist in the Program category for their event, "Making Safe Choices - Empowering women and girls to Live Their Dreams".

Soroptimist International's Best for Women magazine is now available in digital format on line. The latest issue focuses on "This One's for the Girls". Take a look here.

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; They have the heart.
